  • Dimethicone Emulsion

    Emulsified silicone oil is produced by emulsifying dimethicone with anionic or non-ionic surfactants. It has excellent chemical stability and can be directly added to cosmetic formulations, solving the challenge of dimethicone being difficult to emulsify. It is easy to use.

    Technical Specifications:

    • Appearance: Milky white liquid to semi-fluid

    • Ionic type: Anionic or non-ionic

    • Solid content: 12 ± 1% or 30 ± 3%

    • pH: 6–8

    Applications:

    1. Suitable for use in a wide range of cosmetics, including skin creams, hand creams, facial cleansers, sunscreens, shaving creams, waterless cleansers, deodorants, body washes, soaps, hair conditioners, and more.

    2. Industrial applications.

    Usage and Dosage:
    Dimethicone is not soluble in water and usually needs to be emulsified with surfactants before use. This product is already emulsified and can be used directly. Add the emulsion (with 30% solid content) to the cosmetic formulation and mix thoroughly. No changes are needed in other processing steps. Dosage may vary depending on the formulation, but a recommended usage level is around 5%.

    Packaging and Storage:
    Both the silicone oil and its emulsion are classified as non-hazardous. They are packaged in clean polyethylene plastic drums and should be stored at room temperature. The emulsion has a shelf life of one year. If it exceeds this period but shows no oil separation or stratification, it can still be used after re-inspection.
