IOTA HB4151 – Fumed Hydrophobic Silica

Key Advantages:
Treated with dimethyldichlorosilane (DDS), offering a relatively low-cost hydrophobic modification, ideal for cost-sensitive applications. Excellent hydrophobicity significantly extends the shelf life of RTV silicone rubber, especially for electronic potting compounds. With a specific surface area of 120±30 m²/g, it balances thixotropy and processability, avoiding excessive thickening. The loss on ignition is ≤2.5%, indicating high purity, suitable for precision electronics where impurities are critical. The suspension pH is ≥3.7, making it acidic, which enhances compatibility with certain silicone systems, such as specific adhesives.

Applications:
Well-suited for cost-sensitive RTV silicone rubber (e.g., electronic potting), and silicone rubber products with high shelf-life requirements.

IOTA HB4612 – Fumed Hydrophobic Silica

Key Advantages:
The suspension pH ranges from 5.8 to 8.0, forming a neutral system suitable for a wider range of formulations such as coatings and inks, minimizing corrosion risks. With a loss on ignition of ≤2.0%, it has even higher purity, making it suitable for high-end applications like optical coatings. Carbon content ranges from 0.7 to 1.3%, offering moderate hydrophobicity while balancing anti-settling and leveling properties. The specific surface area is 140±20 m²/g, providing excellent thixotropic control and reducing sagging. Highly versatile and applicable to RTV silicone, adhesives, powder coatings, and other base materials.

Applications:
Ideal for pH-sensitive coatings and ink systems, as well as general-purpose products that require a balance between cost and performance.

IOTA HB4615 – Fumed Hydrophobic Silica

Key Advantages:
With a carbon content of 1.0 to 1.7%, it has the highest hydrophobicity, greatly improving water resistance and shelf life in elastomers such as HTV and LSR. Effectively prevents structural changes in HTV silicone rubber and extends RTV silicone storage time. The only product clearly suitable for both high-temperature vulcanized (HTV) and liquid silicone rubber (LSR), offering comprehensive reinforcement performance. Enhances pigment dispersion uniformity, optimizes powder coating flow properties, and prevents caking. The loss on ignition is ≤4.0%, supporting a higher degree of surface modification to meet complex formulation needs. The pH ranges from 5.8 to 8.0, providing a neutral environment.

Applications:
Suitable for high-performance elastomers such as medical-grade LSR and weather-resistant HTV, or premium coatings and inks requiring strong hydrophobicity and long-term stability.
