GT5 Eco-Friendly Solid Resin: Outstanding Heat Resistance for Specialized Protection Applications

GT5 is an eco-friendly solid silicone resin presented as a colorless or pale yellow powder or granules, with a solid content exceeding 99%. It has a softening point of 85 ± 5 °C, a gel time of 10 to 60 minutes at 200 °C, and a thermal weight loss of less than 5% at 350 °C. This resin offers excellent adaptability to both high and low temperatures, arc and corona resistance, and superior electrical insulation. It also features strong hydrophobic and moisture-resistant properties, weathering resistance, high mechanical strength, flame retardancy, corrosion resistance, ozone resistance, and chemical stability. With a high glass transition temperature, it can withstand temperatures up to 700 °C.

GT5 is widely used in high-temperature-resistant powder coatings, liquid resins, and composite formulations. It is ideal for applications such as barbecue grills, mufflers, and exhaust pipes, as well as for specialized protection in aerospace and military equipment. It can be blended with epoxy or polyester resins.

This solvent-free, environmentally friendly formulation remains non-tacky at room temperature and is stable in powder form during storage. It can also be combined with IOTA GT3 for performance customization.

The product can be stored for 12 months in its original packaging in a cool, dry place (≤ 30 °C). After the storage period, it may still be used if it passes quality inspection. Standard packaging is 50 kg in a composite paper box with dual moisture-proof sealing. Transport is handled as general cargo.
