1. Main Applications of Fabric Finishing Agents

1.1 Softening and Lubricating Functions

Suitable for woven, knitted, and nonwoven fabrics made from cotton, linen, polyester, nylon, and other materials. Softening agents provide a smooth and pleasant hand feel, reduce friction, enhance elasticity and wrinkle resistance, and improve wearing comfort.

IOTA-C803
Imparts a soft and smooth hand feel with excellent drapability, with minimal impact on color brightness. Significantly improves breaking and tearing strength. Suitable for cellulose and regenerated fibers, also used as a lubricant in napping and sanding processes.
IOTA-C910
High amine value diamino silicone oil providing softness, smoothness, and good resilience, while enhancing strength. Suitable for a wide range of fabrics.

2. Product Recommendations for Different Effects

2.1 For Ultra-Soft Hand Feel with Low Yellowing

Recommended product: IOTA-C845
A diamino silicone oil with specially optimized structure to deliver exceptional softness while minimizing yellowing.

Recommended dosage: 0.3% to 1% silicone content
Effects: Very smooth, soft, and full hand feel; excellent lubricity; good drapability; low yellowing; improves fabric elasticity and wrinkle recovery after washing.

2.2 For Softness with Strength Enhancement

Recommended product: IOTA-C910
Used as a base material for amino silicone oil emulsions or microemulsions, especially suitable for softening and lubricating textiles.

Recommended dosage: 0.3% to 1% silicone content
Effects: Outstanding softness and smoothness; effectively increases fabric elasticity, wrinkle recovery, and breaking and tearing strength. Particularly suitable for woven, knitted, and nonwoven cellulose and regenerated fiber fabrics.

2.3 For Balanced Softness and Multiple Performance Properties

Recommended product: IOTA-C803
A medium to low viscosity diamino polydimethylsiloxane used in preparing fabric softener emulsions and resin plasticizer emulsions.

Effects: Provides soft and smooth hand feel, good drapability, low yellowing, increased elasticity, wrinkle recovery, and breaking and tearing strength. Suitable for woven, knitted, and nonwoven cellulose and regenerated fiber fabrics. Also used as a lubricant in napping and sanding.

3. Other Functional Finishes

3.1 Moisture Absorption and Quick-Drying / Hydrophilicity

Special finishing imparts good moisture-wicking and sweat absorption properties to fabrics such as polyester, keeping them dry and comfortable. Commonly used in sportswear and functional clothing. Mainly applied to polyester, blends, and acetate fibers.

3.2 Stain Resistance and Easy Cleaning

Imparts anti-soiling properties to fabrics, making them less prone to staining and easier to clean. Suitable for workwear, school uniforms, and frequently used garments.

3.3 Color Deepening and Surface Smoothing

Enhances the color depth of black and other dark fabrics, improves fabric smoothness and softness, reduces wrinkles, and increases tear strength. Commonly used in cotton, wool, and blended fabrics.
